The Reverend Jesse Jackson announced a new campaign today targeting discrimination against handicapped blacks.

Speaking at a morning news conference in Selma, the Reverend declared, “Centuries of slavery and oppression by the Whites have led to greater health problems in the Black Community and we therefore demand more convenient minority handicapped parking."

"Minority Handicapped parking will place schools, churches, stores, and other businesses, within closer reach to all our economically challenged handicapped individuals. Close access for handicapped citizens has long been enjoyed for decades; it’s time for members of the Black Handicapped Community to demand the closest parking places. It’s time to overcome the repression of the White majority by taking shorter walks to freedom.”
